Story
The wine estate of Château Angludet belongs to the Sichel Family since 1961, as they bought the property at that time. The wine estate is located in the Médoc on gravel deposits from the Garonne. The estate is surrounded by Grand Cru classé and has been included in the famous 1855 Margaux classification.
The work begun in 1961 by Peter Sichel. Today, Peter & Diana's five sons represent the sixth generation of Sichels involved in the viticulture & wine trading of Chateau Angludet. It is a family-owned business, as the seventh generation recently joined Maison Sichel & Château Angludet.
The vineyards of this incredible chateau are part of the Margaux appellation and are located 30 kilometers North-West of the Bordeaux (South of France). The vineyards have to follow the strict rules of the Margaux appellation and are situated on a broad plateau of Garonne gravel deposits. The soil is made up mainly of gravel & small stones, which results in a poor soil. This forces the vines to develop a deep root system, which results in a better maturity of the grapes, but also in a great quality of the wines
